A review of the Woman's Fall Retreat

At the Woman's Fall Retreat at Camp Duffield on October 30-November 1, 2009 “A wonderful Time was had by All”.

Camp Duffield’s 1st annual Fall Woman’s retreat was a huge success! Women attended from as far away as Pennsylvania and Florida. The food was five star and the fall decorations set Keeler Lodge into a wonderful space of cozy, warm, and welcoming.

Our keynote speaker Susan Puff shared from her experiences and Scripture to set us all on a path of reflection and action. We took our notes home with renewed faith.

Saturday evening we enjoyed and participated with musician Sue Rozler, Mama Earth’s Kitchen Band. She had us all singing and using pot lids with wooden spoons, washboards and sticks and also numerous ethnic African wooden percussion instruments. We sang out loud like we were a bunch of ‘kids at camp’ and we were! Later in the evening Sue thrilled us with songs of her own writing and a bit of the God story in her life.

The deep fellowship shared as sisters in Christ was enhanced by our times of worship. No one could have convinced us it was a cold, wet windy Halloween outside, because inside Keeler Lodge our hearts and our spirits were warm and toasty.

Best of all, we all participated in a glimpse of the vision that Duffield IS.

Youth and adults meeting God in the greatest possible way…together at camp!

See you next year.
